About me and my therapy practice
Counselling can be a transformative experience for anyone seeking to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing. It provides a safe and supportive space where you are able to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Counselling can help you to develop a greater understanding of yourself, as well as your relationships and life experiences. This process can lead to greater self-awareness and personal growth.
The challenges we face might stem from our own vulnerabilities, a painful or confusing relationship, or the illness or loss of a loved one. Anger or depression may grip us, or we might find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety and stress. Sometimes, we simply need to talk through our thoughts with someone who is impartial and objective. In such times, the counselling space can be incredibly beneficial.
Practice description
I practice integrative counselling, meaning that I draw from various therapeutic models to tailor my approach to your unique needs. At the heart of my practice is the Person-Centred Approach, placing you at the core of the therapeutic process. This ensures that our work together is guided by you and what you would like to talk through during our sessions.
It is helpful to approach counselling with an open mind and a willingness to engage in the process, even if you’re unsure where to start. Remember, there is no pressure to have everything figured out; our sessions are dedicated to supporting you in your journey toward understanding and healing.

My first session
Our first session can focus on creating an understanding as to what you would like to gain from counselling, and how we can work together to create a space that feels right for you. I’ll invite you to share a little about what’s brought you here, but there’s no pressure to open up more than you feel comfortable with.
This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for whether my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. Most importantly, it’s about ensuring you feel heard, understood and at ease as we begin this journey together.
