About me and my therapy practice

Claire Hooper-Greenhill PGDip (Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy), MBACP

Mindfulness-Based Integrative Psychotherapist | Registered Member of the BACP

I am a mindfulness-based integrative psychotherapist with a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I provide a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and challenges, supporting you in creating meaningful change.

My integrative approach draws from several therapeutic models, allowing me to tailor our work to suit your individual needs. These include:

• Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) — offering a warm, empathic environment where you are fully heard and accepted.

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based CBT (MBCT) — helping you to develop awareness of unhelpful thought patterns and cultivate present-moment resilience.

• Attachment Theory — exploring how early relationships shape emotional patterns and connection with yourself and others.

• Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) — supporting you in developing self-compassion and reducing shame and self-criticism.

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — encouraging psychological flexibility, helping you to live in alignment with your values while accepting life’s difficulties.

I have experience working with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties. My aim is to create a collaborative therapeutic space where you feel safe, valued, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that my practice is professional, ethical, and client-centred. I’m also committed to continuous professional development and supervision to offer the highest standard of care.

If you’d like to find out more or arrange an initial session, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
