About me and my therapy practice

With warmth and respect, I help people to navigate their way through difficult times in life.

I use my training, skills and the ‘therapeutic relationship’ to support people going through relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions, family conflict and work problems.

I can support people as they explore ways out of feeling ‘stuck’, unsure of themselves and lost. This may involve looking for answers to existential questions such as ‘who is the real me’? ‘what makes me happy’? ‘how do I learn “to thrive, not merely survive” (Maya Angelou)?

Practice description

I am a fully qualified integrative relational therapist and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have undertaken specialist training in bereavement counselling and I volunteer as a bereavement counsellor at an east London charity one day a week, alongside my private practice.

Having retrained after a career in the creative and media industries, I have a good understanding of modern day workplace pressures and frustrations and how these can affect mental health and well-being.

My own experience of therapy during a period of loss and change taught me how important it is to feel heard, valued and safe enough to talk about painful thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or shame. Gradually, therapy helped me to see the challenges I was facing as opportunities for growth and positive change.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style”. Maya Angelou

I offer weekly face-to-face sessions in therapy rooms in Islington (N1), the City (EC4), Haringey (N4) and online sessions (daytime and evenings)
