I have weekday daytime (8.30 am- 1.50 pm) and evening slots available. (7- 8 pm).

About me and my therapy practice

I work in a predominately person-centered way, where your agenda and story are at the heart of our work together. I encourage curiosity and self-compassion to increase emotional literacy. I often describe sessions to be like going on a journey together through your world. I will tread lightly and without judgement. Maybe I'll carry your heavy backpack for a bit, maybe I'll say 'What's that over there?' at something you haven't noticed before. Maybe we'll slow down or even get lost for a bit. I might say 'I've noticed you often do this or that, have you?'. At points I will share tools which will help the journey to feel a bit easier (a sunhat for when the rays are beaming down or some wellies for wading through the bogs of life). I'm here to sit with you in the sadness and walk alongside you as you navigate your way. 

As a Christian, I'm also really comfortable with exploring and integrating elements of the Christian faith if you wish it, but I will always prioritise your agenda.

Practice description

I currently work exclusively online.

My first session

We'll spend the first session getting to know each other, covering an initial assessment and addressing presenting issues and expectations. Questions I might ask include 'what is bringing you to counselling?' 'When do you feel happiest or most like yourself?'. I usually ask about sleep, eating habits and support you're receiving from others.
