About me and my therapy practice

Hello.  I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor practicing in Chiswick, West London.  I work with people suffering from anxiety or depression in any form.  I see clients in person or online to help them deal with the difficulties they're experiencing.

People often come to me when they're struggling with self esteem, if they're having problems with relationships, be that a partner, friends or within their family.  Other issues that people come for help to address relate to their sex life or sexual orientation.  And many people feel like they're drowning with life's responsibilities and the expectation of others, including their work.

I will help you get to the bottom of what's going on and work with you to find positive ways to address these issues and move forward.

I practise psychodynamic psychotherapy which means I focus on us both getting to the bottom of why you feel the way you do in the belief that lasting change is rooted in this understanding.

I trained within the NHS at Tavistock & Portman NHS Mental Health Trust, and at at Tavistock Relationships.  I am registered both with the BACP, Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and the British Psychoanalytic Council.

I have years of experience helping clients in the NHS and in private practice.

Practice description

My private practice is called The London Therapists.  You can learn more about me and the therapy I offer at www.thelondontherapists.com.

I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to helping you understand what's going on and why.  As we begin to understand why you feel the way you do, I'll work with you to find a way forward, a way that reduces your anxiety or helps you see things differently.

I am happy to see you online or in person - whichever is more convenient for you.

My first session

I offer an introductory call of around 15 minutes at no charge.  At our first session, I'll ask you to begin wherever feels right to you, and to help me understand what feels so difficult.

At this session, I'll explain how I work in a little more detail, but crucially, it's an opportunity for us to see if we think there's a fit - it's so important that you feel confident in your therapist and choose someone whom you can relate to.
