About me and my therapy practice

I approach counselling with compassion, kindness, and theoretical understanding. My integrative approach ensures we can work together to meet your needs. I’m here to support you through a diverse range of challenges, from and not limited to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and ADHD.

I also have experience working with bereavement, baby loss, perinatal trauma, and infertility, drawing from both my professional experience and my personal journey. This connection allows me to provide empathetic support to others navigating these issues.

My greatest strength as a counsellor is forming a relationship with clients, this connection provides me with a huge sense of meaning. It is a privilege to walk alongside someone as they navigate towards positive and sometimes life-altering changes to enhance their well-being

Practice description

My practice is based in the Romney Marsh area. My counselling services are available to individuals (over 16 years). They are offered both in person in Dymchurch and through online and telephone sessions for those elsewhere. I am well located, close to the bus route. I have a discreet, confidential space with direct ground-floor access and parking.

I work with clients on a long-term and short-term basis, depending on your needs. I am passionate about the availability and access to therapy. So, I will always take a flexible approach to our work.

I work integratively with clients, meaning I draw on different theoretical models to ensure I do not fit clients into just one therapy model. The therapy models I draw from are person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused, and psychodynamic. I also like to dip into transactional analysis, to help clients better understand their interactions with others. I work with some trauma-informed techniques with clients where appropriate.

My first session

Initial sessions typically involve getting to know each other and understanding your challenges. I aim to walk alongside you while you find empowerment, develop the skills and insights needed to manage difficulties and enhance your quality of life.

If you want to find out more to see if we are a good match, don't hesitate to get in touch with me for an initial consultation. The consultation is free and is purely an opportunity for us to talk through your needs and what you would like to achieve from your counselling. Seeking therapy is a brave step and can sometimes feel scary. I will do my best to make you feel at ease.
