About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.
Are you struggling with something that is holding you back? Are you experiencing anxiety, stress, unhappiness, low self-worth, low self-esteem? Would you like a safe, non judgemental, supportive space to explore your feelings? Periods in our life we need some support and help to make sense of our thoughts and feelings which allows us to move forward and grow as individuals.
I am an experienced person-centred counsellor who will integrate other approaches when required. My counselling approach offers a safe environment which supports you in exploring your thoughts and feeling in a non judgemental and empathic way.
Our sessions will help you understand your self, both past and present and also support you in gaining confidence and growth for moving you life forward.
My background:
I volunteer for various organisations and provide them with counselling support.
My counselling experiences includes working with childhood trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, bereavement, employment support, relationship issues along with a wide range of mental health issues.
How I work:
I can work with you over a mutually agreed time period, short or long term.
Sessions are 60 minutes.
Practice description
Where sessions are held:
I cover Edinburgh, East Lothian & Borders areas.
My face to face sessions are held in Haddington, East Lothian, which is located in the centre of the town with nearby free parking as well as great bus service from Edinburgh.
I offer telephone and online sessions to suit the client needs
My first session
First Session:
Prior to starting therapy I offer a free 20 minute call for introduction and to answer any questions you may have. If we are a good fit to meet your needs then we book our first session.
The first session will allow us to discuss more thoroughly what is going on for you, what you expect from counselling and allow me to ask questions to assess your needs. We will then collaboratively agree a way forward.
