About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-registered counsellor, dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, but specialising particularly in bereavement, loss, and anxiety in all its forms. My clients tell me that I'm down to earth and easy to talk to which I consider invaluable as we work together to create the safe space to navigate the issues which bring you to seek help.
I work in an integrative psychodynamic/person-centred way, meaning that I use a variety of techniques, looking to draw connections between your past and your current situation. Where relevant I also use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Existential therapy. You are at the centre of this, I ensure our work together is collaborative and supportive. My goal is to empower you with insights and coping strategies that can bring balance, healing, and resilience into your life.
Practice description
I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space to help you explore and manage what is happening for you. We will work together in weekly 50-minute sessions, either online or face-face in comfortable rooms in Clapham or Battersea. I suggest we start with 6 sessions, and review as we go along as to whether you would like to extend beyond this point. For some, this will be enough, for others I provide long-term counselling. All this is at your discretion.
My first session
Taking the first step is daunting and I like to make it as easy as possible. I offer a free, no obligation 20-minute exploratory session for individuals to enable you to ask questions, share concerns and establish how therapy may help. You can email me at any time to arrange a session, either by phone or online, at a time that is convenient for you. There is no obligation to commit – it’s essential that you find the right therapist for you.
