About me and my therapy practice
You can be proud of yourself for taking the step of reaching out for support. I’m here to help you to work through the difficulties that you are experiencing. This can be an anxious time, but I hope that you are able to get in contact with me so we can begin your counselling journey together.
As a counsellor, I find that adopting just one singular approach may not work the best for everybody. Therefore, I adapt my way of working to meet the needs of each individual that I support, by integrating different approaches to counselling within the counselling sessions.
Practice description
As someone who specialises in person-centred counselling, you may hear me say that "you are the expert of your world". This is something I wholeheartedly believe, and something that I aim to help my clients believe.
By putting you and your needs at the centre of our sessions, I aim to encourage self-reflection, self-healing, and self-confidence. Through these core values I believe that anyone is able to comfortably explore their own emotions and feelings.
One of the benefits to person-centred counselling, is that I am there to not only help you in the moment, but also to help provide you with the tools to help yourself now and in the future. This is about a journey of self-discovery. If this all sounds a bit cliched, remember, you are the expert of your own world.
I aim to provide a relaxed atmosphere, which through video and telephone counselling sessions means that you can undertake your counselling journey in an environment which you are comfortable.
I am an insured and qualified counsellor who has undertaken a wide range of personal and professional development. I have completed a BA (Hons) in Counselling Studies and Working with Children, Young People and Families at Newman University, and I am currently completing my MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the University of Staffordshire.
