About me and my therapy practice
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious and overwhelmed?
Perhaps you feel you've lost touch with yourself and your identity?
Perhaps you’re experiencing grief, navigating trauma or trying to make sense of past events?
Perhaps you've been recently diagnosed with Autism or ADHD and you're wondering how this will impact your life?
If you’re looking for a safe space to explore and feel understood- you've come to the right place.
I have had my own experiences of counselling at times when I most needed help and support, and I can genuinely say that therapy helps and finding the right therapist that you connect with can be life-changing.
Hi, I’m Colette, a person-centred psychotherapist based in Liverpool. I provide compassionate therapy, offering a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment to create meaningful change in your life.
Having had my own experiences of grief, loss and therapy, I understand the importance of feeling heard and understood, as well as the importance of navigating difficult periods of your life with someone who 'gets' you and has the skills and capacity to hold space.
Whatever you are navigating, I'm here to walk alongside you- to listen and support you while you progress towards greater self-awareness and wellbeing.
As well as practising as a private therapist, I also currently work at Sunflowers Charity, supporting clients who are experiencing grief, long-term illnesses, anxiety, depression and trauma.
Practice description
Our work together will be a collaborative process where I will provide the space for you to explore your emotions and experiences. While I believe strongly in the power of person-centred therapy, I also integrate tools and techniques from other approaches that may be helpful to you, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed methods. This flexible approach allows me to tailor our work together to your unique needs and goals.
I work in an attuned and responsive way to meet the needs of each client. I have worked with clients experiencing:
Grief and bereavement
Trauma
Neurodiverse clients
Complex family relationships
Anxiety
Depression
Long-term illness
