About me and my therapy practice
Hola and welcome! My name is Pedro, and I'm here to support your journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth. Whether you are looking for emotional relief or a deeper understanding of yourself, we can explore new paths for healing and growth together.- Embracing opennes: My approach to therapy
In my practice, I emphasise a relational approach, focusing on the human connection between us. As your counsellor, I will provide a supportive environment where your voice is heard, understood, and respected at every stage. Each session is intended to meet you where you are in your life’s journey, helping you to move forward with confidence and resilience.
My approach is sensitive to trauma, which means I’m careful to handle any past hurts without causing further distress. We’ll work together to understand how these experiences affect you today and explore ways to move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence.
In our sessions, you will always feel supported and safe as we navigate your thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for you.
I also offer multilingual counselling in both English and Spanish, creating a welcoming space for diverse backgrounds.
Practice description
- A safe and Empowering Space for Personal Transformation
As an advocate for diversity, I am committed to respecting and understanding your unique views, beliefs, and experiences in our sessions.
I employ an anti-oppressive framework, ensuring that therapy is not only safe but also empowering. This approach acknowledges the impact of societal structures and cultural influences on personal experiences in ways that promote your well-being.
Each session is designed to meet you at the point you are at in your journey, addressing patterns in your beliefs and behaviours to unlock new opportunities for personal development. By understanding these influences, we can transform challenges into insights, empowering you to navigate life with resilience and clarity.
- About Me
I am a qualified counsellor trained in the Person-Centred Approach and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to supporting diverse communities. I have collaborated closely with charities helping families affected by child sexual abuse and have provided tailored support to migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, helping them to navigate the complexities of their circumstances and build resilience.
Struggles I commonly work with are stress, sexual problems, anxiety, depression, social stigma, relational issues, abuse, low self-esteem, panic attacks, intercultural difficulties, and LGBTQAI+/ GSRD issues.
My first session
Taking the step to begin therapy can feel challenging, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care. To make it easier, I offer a free 20-minute introductory chat via phone/Zoom. This is a relaxed space for us to connect, discuss your needs, and explore whether I’m the right counsellor for you.- First Steps and Fees
