About me and my therapy practice
I’m an Integrative counsellor supporting young people and adults.
I offer sessions either in-person, online or by telephone. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy in and around the St Albans area.
My style is relational which means I see counselling as a collaboration between us - two people connecting within a therapeutic relationship. I'm keen to get to know you and understand things from your perspective.
I won’t advise or tell you what to do - I will use my experience and training to create an environment of trust, safety and acceptance while offering you the space to share openly and honestly. I will gently guide and support you as we explore your thoughts and feelings together.
I am relaxed and intuitive and throughout our work will remain wholeheartedly focused on you and your needs. Whatever it is you need to bring to our counselling sessions, I will meet you with compassion, care and no judgement whatsoever.
Practice description
I see clients with a wide range of presenting issues. I specialise in working with anxiety, panic disorder, depression and low self-esteem or self-worth.
Some clients come to me knowing what it is they want to discuss – many are not yet sure of the root cause – they come with symptoms that are affecting their lives and relationships and the feeling or knowledge that something has to change. I will use my training and experience to tailor each session to suit you and your individual needs.
I work with the past, present and future and will support you as we move at your pace, to a place of increased self-awareness, acceptance and connection.
We can lean-in and work together – to gently guide you from where you currently are, to where you would like to be.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor and the right support is an important first step in your healing journey. It's not always easy and can feel overwhelming.
So to help you establish if I'm the right fit for you, I offer you an initial 30 minute introductory appointment - either online or by telephone.
There is no charge for this and it will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about me and the way we might work together.
If you decide to go ahead, we can then arrange a set day and time to suit us both.
