About me and my therapy practice

Hi, if you are struggling with life's many challenges then I can offer you a confidential space where you will be cared for without judgement and welcomed.

You will be able to explore your issues at your own pace and in your own way with the support of a fully qualified therapist.

We will work collaboratively without pressure, and you will be able to stop therapy whenever it feels right for you.

I trained to be a counsellor after experiencing the benefit of counselling myself after a bereavement.  The experience inspired me to want to reach out and offer this to others who would benefit from it.

I have worked with a national agency delivering counselling for depression, anxiety, life limiting illness, self-esteem, relationships and bereavement.

I worked in the hospice movement before training to be a counsellor, supporting people to die at home and before that I worked in many different industries:  advertising, construction, printing, and classic cars.

Practice description

I offer 50 minute sessions that can be delivered in a number of different ways.  I work:

Online using a video platform for national coverage, but also

Face to face on the outskirts of Haverhill near Cambridge in a comfortable, modern building with a cafe, parking and disabled access.

Walk and talk therapy for women only, in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

My first session

I offer a free consultation either phone or on video, to give you a chance to ask questions and find out if this is right for you.  It's important to choose a therapist that you feel comfortable with and where you feel there is a mutual understanding and connection.

We are all different, and I respect your right to find someone that is right for you.  I try very hard to maintain an attitude of respect for others and am openminded and willing to compromise, whilst being aware of unconscious bias.

It's our differences that make us stronger not our similarities. I appreciate that you are unique and I am happy to accept you as you are.
