About me and my therapy practice

Hello! I’m Charlie. Counsellor, doctor in Psychiatry, and founder of Ginkgo Wellbeing. I am based in Leeds and offer online video counselling for adults nationwide. I specialise in helping young adults with anxiety, confidence and self-esteem issues. Everyone’s reasons for seeking counselling will be different, and whatever your reason, I am committed to offering a safe and supportive therapy space for you to explore your experiences, expand your self-awareness and embark upon a journey of healing and personal growth. I wholeheartedly believe that therapy can benefit anyone.

What can you expect? A positive therapy experience with a competent counsellor can be a transformative and life-enriching experience. Having a space where you feel safe to open up with someone who won’t judge you, and who supports you to simply be you, is precious and uncommon in society and is the person-centred approach I take. In me, you can expect a warm, accepting and down-to-earth counsellor, who genuinely cares. I’ll support you in navigating life’s challenges and starting to live in alignment with who you truly are. Together, we’ll help you flourish.

What are the benefits of counselling? Therapy isn’t just for managing specific problems, it’s also for anyone wanting to grow as a person. There is so much that can be gained including: deeper self-awareness, greater understanding of your experiences, appreciation for how you relate to others/the world around you, self-compassion, and a changed life direction that’s more in line with who you truly are and what you really value.

I know how daunting it can be but if you’re ready to take this leap of faith, I’m ready to listen.
