About me and my therapy practice
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is about relationships, with yourself and others, both inside and out. It is the most theoretically developed talking therapy, with a strong evidence base, and can help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety and depression as well as lead to deep and lasting change.
My approach is to foster an environment where we can work together to better understand the complexities of your mind and patterns that might be hindering your development. Together we can broaden your emotional range and help build resilience creating greater freedom, expression, and authenticity in your life.
I am an experienced adult psychodynamic psychotherapist working for many years in the NHS in complex needs departments, inpatient wards, and community clinics. I have treated people from diverse backgrounds and addressed a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, identity, and relationship difficulties.
I provide private individual treatment from my consulting room in Hackney, East London. I offer an open, reliable, safe, and confidential space where we can begin to understand and explore your difficulties. Please visit my website for more details.

My first session
Before the first session, I offer a free 15-minute phone call where we can have a think about a few things and a few practical details.
Following this I work by offering an initial consultation period which can be 2-3 sessions. These sessions are 50 minutes in length, the same as ongoing therapy sessions. This will be a chance to get to know something about what brings you to therapy and answer any questions you might have. It will also be a chance for us to get a feeling of what it would be like to work together.
