About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Charlotte, a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor. I believe in the power of person-centred therapy, which places you at the heart of the therapeutic process. In our sessions, you will find a welcoming, safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, without fear of criticism or pressure.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted is key to effective counselling. By working together I can help you make sense of your emotions and life experiences. I believe this approach will empower you to work towards the solutions which feel right for you.
We all view the world through different lenses and I’m dedicated to creating a neurodivergent-affirming space where all clients are respected, understood and supported in their unique experiences.
Practice description
Whether you’re dealing with something specific or just feeling lost, I’m here to listen and support you as you try to navigate your way forward.
A lot of my experience is gained in supporting people through grief and different kinds of loss, whether it's the death of a loved one, miscarriage or loss of a job or relationship. Grief can take many forms, and everyone's experience of loss is unique.
Drawing from my varied experience supporting clients at a bereavement charity and a resettlement service at HM prison, I work with clients across a diverse range of backgrounds, each bringing their own unique experiences and individual challenges.
I believe that every person has the potential for growth and healing, and I am committed to supporting and working alongside you throughout your counselling journey.
Many issues clients bring are often deeply interconnected, with one area of struggle affecting others. For example, stress can exacerbate anxiety or impact self-esteem, while life transitions might trigger feelings of grief or uncertainty. I recognize the complexity of these overlapping experiences and provide a compassionate, supportive space to explore and untangle them in a way that feels right for you.
My first session
From my own experience I know taking the first step towards counselling can be daunting, but I’m here to make the process as comfortable as possible.
Please get in touch to arrange a free, no-obligation 30 minute consultation either in person, online or over the phone.
After this initial chat it is your choice if you would like to work together and schedule regular counselling sessions.
Sessions can be in-person or online, depending on your preference.
Every client’s needs and circumstances are unique to themselves so the amount of sessions you require is flexible and can be reviewed throughout our work together.
