About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, I am Anni! I am a passionate counsellor based in South London, offering a warm, empathic, and authentic space for you to explore life’s challenges. I work with individuals who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, often struggling with relationships, self-esteem, or navigating past traumas. You may feel a deep desire for clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of self but find it hard to know where to begin.
My integrative approach draws from psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT, and attachment theories, allowing us to work in a way that suits you best. Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover patterns, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe a strong bond between client and counsellor provides the foundation for meaningful change. Whether you need a safe, non-judgmental space, someone who listens deeply, a fresh perspective, or even a gentle challenge to help you grow, I adapt to your unique needs.
Practice description
At Take Your Time Counselling, I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and the relationship we build together is central to creating meaningful change.
My integrative approach draws on different techniques, allowing me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. Whether you're struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or patterns that no longer serve you, I aim to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward your goals.
I recognize that everyone’s story is shaped by their upbringing, culture, and experiences, and I am committed to creating an inclusive and understanding environment. Therapy with me is a space for you to take time for yourself—a valuable act of self-care—and to discover the insights and tools that will support your growth.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to give us an opportunity to discuss your needs, answer any initial questions, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.
Before our first full session, I will send you a short written assessment. You can choose to fill this out in advance and share it with me, or we can use it as a guide to discuss during our first session. This assessment helps me gain a clearer understanding of your goals, concerns, and what you hope to achieve through counselling.
The first session is an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy, get to know each other, and begin creating a safe, supportive space for your journey. It’s also a chance for you to see how I work and ensure that you feel comfortable moving forward.
If you have any questions or concerns about the process, I’ll be happy to address them during our consultation or first session.
