I offer face to face sessions in my calm space close to the centre of York. I also work online on a variety of platforms to suit the client.

My set working hours are 5pm – 8pm Mon, Tues, Weds and 9am – 1pm Saturday, but I can be flexible.

About me and my therapy practice

I am dedicated to supporting individuals facing life challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. My goal is to help clients explore the root causes of their difficulties and find a path forward with renewed confidence and a positive outlook.

With experience in the performing arts industry, I bring a unique understanding of the insecurities and self-doubt that often impact creative individuals. I am passionate about helping clients overcome these struggles and discover a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering both personal freedom and emotional growth.

Therapy with me is not about receiving solutions or instructions; it’s about having the space to be heard, to reflect, and to discover your own insights and answers.

My approach is non-directive: we work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you.

Whatever you’re facing right now, I’m here to listen and to support you in exploring what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we can take steps toward a brighter, more balanced future.

At Dragonfly Counselling in York, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions. As a person-centered counselor, I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support you in discovering your own path forward.

My first session

Taking the step to see a counsellor can be daunting, and reaching out takes courage.

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, online or by phone, where you can share your concerns, discuss what you hope to gain from counselling, and explore how we might work together to achieve your goals.

Finding the right therapist—someone you feel comfortable being open with and who truly listens—is essential.

If you feel we’re a good fit, you’re welcome to book additional sessions, either online or in person.

Further sessions will proceed at your own pace, guided by your goals and agenda. You are the expert on yourself, and will have control over the direction and focus of our work together.
