About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Sergio, a warm and compassionate therapist with a deep passion for helping people navigate life’s ups and downs. When it comes down to it, I fundamentally believe in the power of holding space—creating a safe, supportive environment where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood without judgment.
My background includes being trained as an integrative therapist, which means I’ve been specifically trained to draw from a variety of approaches to suit the unique needs of each person I work with. I often draw from the Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, somatic and body-based principles, psychodynamic theory and archetypal transpersonal imagery to provide a comprehensive and deeply connected experience.
I’ve worked with people facing a wide range of challenges. I have a particular passion for psychosexual issues, including exploring gender identity, sexuality, sex work, and sexual behaviour, as well as navigating kink/BDSM dynamics. I also have experience working with depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety disorders, and abuse. Additionally, I’m committed to being neurodivergent-aware, ensuring my practice is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
I should also mention that I’ve worked as a teacher for over ten years, and I understand the unique pressures that come with the profession. I offer teachers a supportive space to explore challenges like burnout, stress, and the complexities of their role.
Practice description
If you choose to work with me, you can expect a collaborative experience designed to honour your unique personality and needs. I prioritise working in a way that feels most effective and supportive for you, ensuring that our sessions align with your personal style and preferences.
At the start of our work together, we’ll take some time to establish a strong foundation. This involves open dialogue and transparency, where I’ll encourage you to share what feels most important to you—your hopes for therapy, your concerns, and even what might make you feel more at ease in our sessions. I will offer reviews at every sixth or so session to realign or release any thoughts you may have regarding the work. This process allows me to truly meet you where you are and ensures that our work is guided by your comfort and goals.
