About me and my therapy practice
I offer a supportive and safe space for you to explore your feelings, reflect and contemplate choices. Talking therapy is a unique opportunity to share and work through difficulties, with a compassionate and non-judgemental counsellor. A deep, trusting therapeutic connection allows you to feel heard and supported and can enable healing to take place.
We all need help at times when life becomes challenging. Counselling offers an opportunity to understand yourself better, cope with change, work through past or present issues or work on your own personal growth.
I am a person centred therapist and will work with you at your pace and focus on the areas that are important to you.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified and registered practitioner with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and hold a degree in Psychology (BA hons).
I work on a voluntary basis within the NHS providing counselling, as well as seeing clients in private practice in Pocklington.
I hold professional indemnity insurance and am DBS checked.
My first session
Sessions are 1 hour long and ideally take place each week (usually on the same day and time). This continuity is important in counselling to build and maintain the therapeutic relationship. I offer both long and short term therapy.
