About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Sarah Stickland, a BACP-registered counsellor with a First-Class Honours Degree in Integrative-Relational Counselling from Middlesex University. My personal experience with counselling has shown me the value of having a dedicated space to work through life’s difficulties, and it inspired my own journey into this field. I know how powerful it can be to feel fully understood and supported, especially in times of change, uncertainty, or emotional distress.
I work with an integrative approach, meaning that I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to best support your individual needs. Central to my practice is the therapeutic relationship we create together; it’s this trusting connection that I believe allows for the most meaningful growth and healing. Whether you’re dealing with specific issues or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to support you in exploring and understanding what’s happening, helping you move towards a greater sense of clarity and resilience.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical framework, prioritizing confidentiality, professionalism, and your emotional well-being.
Practice description
I work with an integrative approach, meaning that I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to best support your individual needs. Central to my practice is the therapeutic relationship we create together; it’s this trusting connection that I believe allows for the most meaningful growth and healing. Whether you’re dealing with specific issues or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to support you in exploring and understanding what’s happening, helping you move towards a greater sense of clarity and resilience.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning that I value creating a supportive, empathetic space where you can explore your concerns at your own pace. In our work together, we’ll focus on:
* Uncovering Patterns: Exploring how past experiences may influence your current emotions, thoughts, and relationships.
* Understanding and Managing Emotions: Gaining insight into the roots of difficult feelings and developing ways to manage them effectively.
* Building Resilience and Tools for Change: Working towards practical ways to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and well-being.
