About me and my therapy practice
You are unique, and so is the way that you experience the world around you
I truly believe in the transformative power of therapy. By adopting a relational approach tailored to your unique needs and pace, I create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space, a sanctuary for exploration, self-discovery, and growth.
Shaped by your life experiences, your perspective is truly one-of-a-kind. My goal is to offer a space where you feel empowered to share your journey, whether it involves relationships, anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, or trauma. Even if you can’t fully express what feels off, or you notice unhealthy patterns emerging, we can explore these together.
We all need support at times. Together, we will navigate the challenges that brought you to therapy.
Therapy offers a place to pause, reflect, and begin the journey toward lasting, positive change.
Practice description
I have completed three years of training at degree level and therefore qualified to Level 6 in counselling and psychotherapy. I have completed a high level of personal therapy and supervision which I believe is a fundamental part of being able to work as a therapist.
I believe it's important for therapists to experience therapy as clients themselves. I’m grateful that my training included three years of individual and group therapy, allowing me to explore the very position I ask you to step into.
Therapy requires presence, engagement, bravery, and vulnerability. In return, it offers liberation, greater self-awareness, freedom from shame, and improved relationships with yourself and others.
Graduating from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Institute with a degree in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy has equipped me with a deep understanding of complex processes, relational and developmental trauma, and the intricacies of the human psyche. While you are the expert in your own experiences, therapy creates a space where, through our collaborative relationship, we can bring new awareness to them. This process allows you to gain clarity and make the lasting, positive changes you seek.
I work relationally, with a focus on early developmental experiences and the relationships we have with ourselves and others throughout life. By integrating relational and developmental theories along with unconscious processes, I aim to offer deep relational contact and help heal developmental and relational wounds.
I prefer face-to-face sessions, though I do offer limited online availability. My approach is holistic, considering both your internal and external environment, and I find that therapy is most effective when engaged over a longer period of time. However, this is unique to each person, and we will regularly evaluate your therapy goals throughout our work together.
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are priced at £50.
My first session
In our first session, welcome you to take some space and we will briefly explore what has brought you to therapy.
This session is for us to learn a little more about each other and see if there is potential for us to work together therapeutically.
We will also cover contracting and assessment for suitability for therapy with me and I will aim to answer any questions that you may have about therapy.
