About me and my therapy practice

Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem? You aren't alone. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, right? Whether you're carrying the weight of daily pressures, navigating significant changes, or sensing that something important is missing, it’s natural to feel off-balance and uncertain. Perhaps past experiences may also be resurfacing, adding to the complexity of your emotions and making it difficult to manage the tornado of feelings. In these moments, it’s okay to reach out and explore what you truly need.

In our work together, I offer a person-centred integrative approach, providing a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard and understood. The truth is, you don’t need fixing. You deserve a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences and rediscover yourself. Our sessions will adapt to what feels right for you.

Taking this step might feel daunting, but it’s already an act of self-care and courage. I have had the privilege of journeying with many people experiencing traumatic bereavement, victims and witnesses of crime and acute anxiety. We face the challenges together, forging a path towards a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Practice description

Over the last 15 years I have worked with adults and young people bereaved, those impacted by domestic abuse and in crisis. With a post grad diploma in Humanistic Counselling, Masters in Forensic Psychology and a range of training to support my work, e.g. safeguarding and trauma informed therapy.

As a BACP qualified humanistic counsellor, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel genuinely seen and valued. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and compassion, honoring each person's unique journey. In my sessions, I work from a person-centered stance, which means that your experiences, feelings, and goals are at the heart of our work together. I believe that each individual possesses the inner resources needed for growth and healing, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping to explore those strengths in a way that feels natural and empowering.

Creative exploration

I also incorporate creative and body-centered techniques into our work, which can provide new insights and help deepen the explorative process. Whether through mindfulness, expressive tools, or gentle body awareness exercises, these methods are designed to help you connect with your inner self in a holistic way. This part of my practice is always client-led, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported, with your needs and preferences guiding each step. Together, we’ll work in a way that centers your unique experience and fosters genuine, lasting growth.
