About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name’s Russell and I am an Integrative psychotherapist with a private practice in the Kidderminster area. I see clients face-to-face in a warm and relaxed space, or online if you would prefer.
I know that life’s challenges—whether from relationships, difficult emotions, or overwhelming events—can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, broken, or beyond repair. It’s easy to lose hope that things can improve. Approaching friends or family can be difficult, as the fear, anxiety or depression feels too frightening or embarrassing to talk about.
I provide a space where we can talk about the issues that are happening in your life, or a more general exploration of the difficult re-occurring themes you see in yourself and your relationships. We can then work together to process these painful experiences so that you can make meaning from them, freeing you to build a better relationship with yourself and others, thus allowing you to move forwards.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I have over 10 years’ experience working with people who struggle with addictions. Disordered eating, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, alcohol, drugs and sex can all be addictions that negatively impact us and those closest to us.
Practice description
I work in a collaborative way, which means we will create a tailored approach so we can walk together into the places you find difficult. By creating a trusting relationship we can explore the thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour that can leave people feeling stuck. Sometimes we can need more than words to describe how we feel, so I might use creative ways such as writing or drawing to help make it easier. You have made the first step by looking at this profile. We will continue to nurture and build on this desire for change while building an understanding of what holds you back. As an Integrative therapist I am trained in different approaches, so I can tailor what I use depending on what you want from therapy. Furthermore it means I work to understand how our history impacts us and where we have had to adapt to cope, thus helping to embrace and accept every part of ourselves.
My first session
Please get in contact for a free 20-minute consultation if you would like to explore working together and see if we are a good match.
Alternatively feel free to book an introductory session, where we can discuss what’s brought you to therapy. You are not obligated to continue if you decide not to, but it provides an opportunity to ask any questions you have and see if we are a good match.
