About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Steph, and I’m here to join you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
I use an integrated, user-centred approach which means I have a theoretical toolbox at my disposal to cater to your personal needs and requirements.
I can provide a safe space for you to work through depression, anxiety, bereavement or addiction. I also have additional qualifications in dream theory, and can provide talking therapy in an outdoor space across Northamptonshire.
Practice description
I currently work online, meaning you can seek support from the comfort of your own home without the additional worries and time-restrictions of additional travel. As well as working remotely, I can offer a space to talk in some wonderful green spaces across Northamptonshire, where parking is free, and locations cover a wide area meaning I can come to you.
The sessions I offer are a full hour, as I believe a counselling hour should be just that - if you’re paying me for the hour then I will honour you with the full 60 minutes of that time.
My first session
The first session will be an introduction to myself and you, getting to know you and what specifically you are looking for in therapy. We can discuss any previous therapy you have had and how you found it, to get an idea of what does or does not work for you, and look at what material you wish to look at.
I don’t ask my clients to complete any assessments or questionnaires, as I don’t personally feel they serve clients other than to pigeonhole them. They don’t always give a realistic representation of you as a person; the best way for me to get that, is to work with you directly.
