About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel lonely, overwhelmed, and confused by where you find yourself? Maybe you feel disorientated, out of place, unsettled, and alone. You may be questioning yourself and longing for direction, purpose, or meaning.
Perhaps you feel unable to share your experience for fear of being misunderstood and more alienated.
Life transitions and big changes can leave you feeling like a stranger in your own life, wondering who you are now or where you belong.
I can help you to:
- Untangle your thoughts so that you can understand the impact of this transition and feel less lost.
- Explore your experiences past and present, so that you can begin to rebuild a sense of belonging in your new chapter of life.
- Feel more purpose and find a sense of peace in your new direction.
- Gain new confidence, so that you can have more meaningful relationships.
Practice description
You may be wondering what working with me would be like. Working through whatever you bring, I’m interested in your feelings about yourself, your world, and what is happening for you.
Growing up in three different countries has given me insight into feeling an outsider, not belonging, and struggling with my identity. Before training as a counsellor, I navigated a profoundly challenging fertility journey. This has given me a unique and compassionate understanding of the struggles faced when moving through major life events which can impact identity, confidence, and self-belief.
These experiences have helped me relate to clients struggling with questioning their place in the world because I understand the impact of feeling isolated, different, alone, and bewildered.
This means I help clients rediscover their place in the world, empowering them to foster a sense of ownership of their experience and enabling them to find a new sense of belonging and direction.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is key to you feeling comfortable and supported. I offer an initial 50-minute (reduced rate) face-to-face or online session.
Here we can discuss your needs and expectations and complete an assessment to decide if we would like to work together.
In this initial meeting, we can see if we are well suited to begin to build a therapeutic relationship.
