About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and knowing where to turn can be difficult. Deciding to begin counselling is a big step, and I truly understand how challenging it can be to ask for help. I still remember the nerves I felt before my first counselling session, which is why my goal during our initial phone consultation is to help ease any anxieties you may have. This call is also an opportunity for me to learn more about you and what has brought you to counselling.
As an integrative relational counsellor, I firmly believe that the relationship we build together is the foundation of our work. It is through this connection that I can support you in your journey toward greater self-awareness and understanding. Together, we can explore how your past experiences may be shaping your present, while staying grounded in the here and now.
Whether we meet in person or online, I offer a space of empathy, authenticity, and support. My aim is to ensure you feel heard, valued, and fully supported as we work together in the way that suits you best.
Practice description
In my practice, I tailor our work to meet your unique needs, drawing on a range of approaches, including person-centred, Gestalt, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories, among others. Our sessions may involve exploring your daily experiences, understanding how past events have shaped who you are today, or experimenting with new ways of thinking and relating to yourself and others. My aim is to create a supportive and collaborative space where we can work together to help you grow and thrive.My first session
After our initial contact call, the first session is an opportunity for me to learn more about you in greater depth and for you to get a sense of me and how I work. It’s important that we feel like a positive fit for each other, as counselling is a collaborative process. Together, we will create a supportive space tailored to your needs and goals.
