About me and my therapy practice

I provide a confidential, safe and non-judgmental environment, to help you to work through your past or present difficulties. My aim is to focus on your needs and work with you to develop self confidence and resilience. This can help during times of difficulty and build coping strategies for the future.

My training is in Person-Centered Counselling and I have also studied Adlerian and Psychodynamic counselling. I draw upon these approaches in my practice as different ways of working may benefit individual needs.

Practice description

I run a private practice at two locations in the Leeds area.

I can also offer online appointments.

As an experienced nurse, midwife and genetic counsellor, I have extensive practical experience in supporting people during difficult times and life-events. I draw upon this and my counselling training to work with people who are facing life’s challenges. I have additional training and experience in counselling those who are struggling with fertility; pregnancy and baby loss, and difficult birth experiences.

Sometimes life can feel challenging and confusing. Talking to friends and family may be helpful, however some problems are difficult to discuss with those near to us and there may be occasions when you feel the need for additional support.

My first session

I offer an initial telephone call to understand your needs. If we decide to work together, your first session will focus on exploring the areas you feel you may need support with and how counselling can help you.

What I can help with
