About me and my therapy practice
My name is Shofna and I am a qualified, integrative counsellor. I aim to help those who need guidance and/or assistance with any issues that are troubling them; regardless of how big or small.
I believe, having a safe and warm environment to open up about your feelings can have significant benefits and impacts. I work with a range of issues and can help with a vast range of diverse clients.
By working with me, you will be able to become the best version of yourself and reach your true potential. By providing support throughout your journey, you will be able to reach your goals and see the change in yourself and your relationships with those around you.
I offer face-to-face sessions and online sessions via online platforms such as Skype and Microsoft teams.
Practice description
Therapy is a process that can help individuals who seek to improve themselves; in terms of their wellbeing and/or mental health.
It is important to understand that, whilst I will do everything in my ability to aid you in this process; the results also rely on your own contributions and efforts to improve yourself.
I will blend and integrate Transactional Analysis alongside Gestalt and Person Centred to develop and cover a variety of concepts, including: safeguarding and mental health assessments, treatment and contract planning and personal development
We will work towards a discussed treatment plan, these can look however you wish. We work together to focus on specific feelings or concerns you want to target, to help you become a better version of yourself. We'll always include a little bit of each theory but we'll decide on a specific one to help tackle those issues that take a little bit more time to dive deep into.
I offer a brief phone call for an overview of your issues. After which, we can discuss a set up for an initial session.
After the initial session, each session will be linked to the previous one and will address different issues, using the same and different theories.
My first session
The first session will be focused on completing a range of assessment forms and then going over the main issues and developing a treatment plan to follow.
