About me and my therapy practice
Online therapy.
If you are reading this, I suspect you are having a bit of a tough time at the moment. I want you to know that I am here to listen to your experiences and to try and understand you. Whatever it is, I am here to go on this journey with you and provide a safe non-judgmental space.
About 8 years ago, I too sat down with my own therapist - so I know what it's like to be on the other side. Perhaps you feel a bit nervous or afraid that you might be judged - but that's completely understandable. My first experience of therapy was a complete relief, I didn't feel alone anymore. I hope I can bring those feelings to you too.
I am an integrative therapist, using person-centered training for our work. I also bring it trauma knowledge, psychoeducation and other theories to our work - like psychodynamic or transactional analysis.
I provide counselling to adults age 18 and over – any gender, cultural background or sexual orientation.
I am passionate about growth and healing from trauma, I like to help you understand your reactions and your brain, to help lighten feelings of shame.
I am also a neurodivergent therapist happy to prove neuro affirming therapy if that is what you need. I am very aware that we all have different brains, that we all have different ways of learning and preferences for communication.
I am also passionate about feminist issues, I currently volunteer at a women’s centre, so I am familiar with the different issues that can affect women.
Some of the themes I have worked with are: domestic abuse, bereavement, divorce / separation, family and unhealthy relationships, neurodiversity, difficult childhood experiences, CPTSD and trauma, low self-worth, anxiety and depression.
