About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a qualified humanistic and integrative therapist (BSc (Hons) degree in psychotherapy and counselling) providing short-term and long-term individual therapy for adults aged 18 and over through my private practice.
Many reasons can lead someone to seek therapy, such as experiencing loss, trauma, or relational challenges. You may feel anxious, depressed, or discontented. Sometimes, there may not be a clear reason – you might simply sense that something isn’t quite right or that you’re not living life as fully as you’d like.
Whether seeking therapy feels like a natural step or a daunting decision, or you feel uncertain about asking for help, these feelings are valid, and I am here to support you. You might be looking to address a specific issue or engage in deeper, explorative therapeutic work; either way, we can decide together the best approach to suit you, including whether we work in person or online.
Practice description
The quality of the relationship between therapist and client is essential for fostering positive change. I draw upon a range of relational therapeutic theories to meet the unique needs of each individual, appreciating the distinctiveness of every human experience. My approach is rooted in genuine curiosity to understand each person from their own perspective.
Working together, we build a safe, non-judgmental and trusting space to explore thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Together, we’ll work to expand your awareness, make sense of your experiences, increase personal autonomy, cultivate positive change and empower you to live a more contented life.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute phone or online consultation. This is an opportunity to ask any initial questions and get a sense of how we might work together.
Following this, we begin with an initial assessment, this 50-minute session allows us to explore your concerns, therapy goals, and how I can best support you. It’s a chance for us to see if my approach aligns with your needs and to help you decide if therapy with me is the right fit.
