About me and my therapy practice

Becoming a counsellor has been a meaningful journey driven by personal experiences. I grew up in a turbulent family environment marked by conflict and instability. Through these challenges, I learned to move beyond dysfunction and create a foundation of safety and security. The transformative impact of counselling on my own life has inspired me to help others in the same way.

Originally from London and raised in Spain, I learned early on about the impacts of difference and diversity. I moved back to the UK in 2004 to begin my studies. I volunteer at the mental health charity Mind and have my own private practice.

My natural warmth and empathy are fundamental strengths in my work and ongoing training ensures that I provide the most up-to-date therapeutic approaches. I engage dynamically with clients, offering guidance and will challenge when relevant to foster curiosity and awareness, ultimately empowering you to make choices in how you respond to your environment.

I have a specialist interest supporting clients with relational issues, anxiety, depression, anger, dysfunctional patterns, conflict management, and self-trust. I also have experience with grief and loss. I incorporate contemporary psychodynamic theories and third-wave CBT approaches in to my practice. More specifically Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, Compassion Focused Therapy, neuroscience, and mindfulness.

I believe our environments, experiences, and relationships—especially our relationship with ourselves—greatly influence our identities. Therefore, the therapeutic relationship is crucial to the healing process. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, lack of purpose or low self-worth, I commend you for taking this important first step toward change. Recognizing the need for help is often one of the hardest things to do, something I have experienced myself.

Practice description

In a counselling session, you can regain control of your life. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where we can work through your difficulties together.

My Approach

I use an integrative approach to counselling, drawing from various therapeutic modalities within a relational context. I believe that many difficulties arise from a disconnection with ourselves and our environment, which can contribute to emotional struggles and mental health challenges. Counselling seeks to help you come to terms with your past, gain awareness of how you relate to the world, recognize its impact on your present, and look forward to a more purposeful future.

Finding the right fit

With over 450 therapies available in the UK, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. Research shows that the most crucial factor in successful therapy is the relationship between counsellor and client. This relationship is central to my practice, which is why I offer a free 20-minute chat. This initial conversation allows us to explore whether we might be a good fit. If you choose to continue, we can schedule your first session, which will be another opportunity to get to know each other.

I encourage you to speak with a few counsellors to ensure you find the right person for your journey. Your well-being is the priority, and finding the right support is essential.
