About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist with 18 years of diverse experience spanning roles as a visual artist, ceramist, social entrepreneur, and psychotherapist. These multidisciplinary experiences have deepened my understanding of cultural participation and communication, allowing me to navigate both collectivist and individualist cultural dynamics with a unique perspective.
I specialize in providing a safe, inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds can explore and address challenges such as trauma, anxiety, grief, sexuality, and relationships. As a Transcultural Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist, my approach draws on elements of Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside insights from Freudian Analysis and Jungian concepts, tailoring therapy to your specific needs.
I am dedicated to offering LGBTQ+ affirmative care, trauma-informed support, and culturally competent therapy to honor and respect your unique identity and experiences. In addition to my psychotherapy qualifications, I hold a master’s degree in multimedia arts and a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Practice description
In my practice, I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and collaborative environment where clients feel honestly heard and supported in their journey toward personal growth. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of issues, including cross-cultural dynamics, trauma, grief, sexuality, PTSD, self-harm, and relationship challenges.
I also specialize in addressing complex issues such as human trafficking, modern slavery, and domestic violence, drawing on a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach. I aim to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can confidently and carefully explore their emotions, cultural identities, and unique needs.
My first session
In our initial session, I aim to provide a warm and supportive space where you feel comfortable discussing your current challenges and goals for therapy. Each session lasts 50 minutes. During this first meeting, I will conduct a detailed assessment, exploring key health concerns, your overall well-being, and your hopes for therapy.
I offer a nonjudgmental environment where you can be heard, and I will explain how my therapeutic approach can support you. This is also a chance for you to ask questions about the therapeutic process or how we might work together.
