James Hodgkinson

I am available most days except for Thursdays.

I work online as a humanistic integrative therapist. I work with Adults, and my rationale for practice is underpinned by the core conditions of the Person-Centered approach: Empathy, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Congruence. I am passionate about helping people address issues affecting their lives and am keen to use my counselling skills this way.

When working with clients, I integrate appropriate techniques from Gestalt theory, including the empty-chair approach and the here-and-now technique, and work with transference and countertransference to help deepen the therapeutic relationship.

Online via Teams. Each session is 50 minutes long. 

I will use the first session to get to know you and the client and explore what you would like from therapy. I will also go through a contract and explain what you can expect from talking therapy.
