About me and my therapy practice

I currently work in private practice offering face to face appointments in central Cheltenham. I also offer online counselling.

As a therapist, my role is to create an environment of acceptance and deep respect, where you feel supported in discovering your own path toward positive change. Whatever struggles you're dealing with right now - anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or deep-seated emotional pain - I offer a warm, open, and non-judgmental space where you can take the time to reflect on your life.

I work with individuals facing crises and challenges in their daily lives and relationships. These challenges might stem from depression or a specific life issue that impacts your ability to enjoy life, work, personal connections, or cope with day-to-day pressures. As you are the expert in your life, I will help you access the innate wisdom necessary for healing.

My training is person centred and integrative, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models and rooted in the idea of understanding you as a unique individual. So I will tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs to help you grow towards becoming your fuller self with greater confidence. We might explore how your past experiences and relationships shape your present thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, or by exploring unconscious patterns, we can gain new perspectives, fostering a greater sense of autonomy and self-awareness.

Practice description

I am a qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and in our work I will offer you an authentic and non-judgmental space for you to explore your emotions and experiences.

I enjoy working in a warm, collaborative style that places you and your needs at the center of the process. My aim is to provide a healing experience while also fostering your growth and development in new and meaningful ways.

As your therapist, I will always approach our work together with warmth, empathy, and authenticity. My commitment will be to help uncover your goals and and guide you through your challenges in a way that feels right for you.

Finding the right words to express difficult emotions can be challenging, and the process may feel painful at times. However, in a supportive therapeutic environment, these conversations can also bring great relief. Together, we will work to:

* Unpack the past: Gently exploring how past experiences and relationships may be impacting your present.

* Gain new perspectives: Shifting how you see yourself and the world around you, leading to a richer, more authentic sense of self.

* Improve your relationships: Developing a greater capacity for meaningful, fulfilling connections with others and with yourself.

In our work, I aim to facilitate not only emotional healing but also growth toward a more empowered and self-directed life. Whether we are exploring past trauma, working through anxiety, or navigating relational difficulties, the therapeutic relationship itself becomes a foundation for positive change. The outcome of this exploration is an emergence of authenticity, towards wholeness and a reconnection to your self.

My first session

Our first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. It's important that you feel comfortable with me before deciding whether you'd like to continue working together. During this session, I’ll also aim to understand what you're looking for from therapy to ensure I’m the right person to support you

Our first session will be explorative and collaborative, where we will look at what you would like to work on/ what would you like to unpack, explore, achieve, improve.

Our work can be reviewed at regular intervals so that it continues to feel relevant and useful.

I offer weekly sessions which allows for good reflection and a flow in our work.

Regular Therapy Sessions

If you choose to move forward, we will typically meet at the same time each week. Therapy is open-ended and can be either long-term or short-term, depending on your needs.

All sessions take place in my dedicated therapy room in Cheltenham Town Centre, conveniently located near public transport and parking.

Please feel free to get in touch to find out more and book your first session.
