About me and my therapy practice
I am an MBACP Integrative Therapist and certified Authentic Relating Facilitator. I offer a reflective space for you to meet yourself, in a way that's uncommon in day-to-day life and has the potential to open up more choice and aliveness in how you experience the world.
Together, we turn towards what is happening for you—whether that is a particular event or relationship on your mind or heart, a broken heart, a tiredness, emptiness or disconnection, a stuckness or questioning where you’re going in life, or something else—with the intention of welcoming it all. This is so it can be heard and worked with, and from there, we can explore and try out different ways of being that work for you and are on your terms.
No matter how large or small your issue may feel, this is a non-judgemental space and all parts of you are welcome.
Practice description
Having grown up in a culture where mind takes precedence over body, at the heart of my work is belief in the body’s inherent intelligence. I support people to connect with themselves, others, and the natural world, understanding their interconnection. And I envision a future where relational skills are taught as an essential part of our upbringing.
My practice is grounded in psychodynamic, relational, Gestalt, and body-based psychotherapy. It is also informed by my trainings and life experiences, including authentic relating, holistic health, tantra, and boarding school survivors. You may find that we use somatic practices and creative tools, such as writing and drawing.
My first session
I offer a complimentary, no-obligation 15-minute phone call to discuss your wants and needs and to determine whether we’re a good fit for one another. I invite you to trust your gut and, with open arms, welcome your ‘no’ as much as your ‘yes’.
If you decide that you’re a ‘yes’ and would like to go ahead, I will send you a contract with further information and we can arrange a first session. In this first session, we’ll discuss in more depth what draws you to therapy, your intentions, resources, and goals, and how we might best work together.
