About me and my therapy practice
If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or the weight of past trauma, you’re not alone. I understand these struggles not just as a professional but also as someone who has walked this path. I’ve faced the paralysing effects of anxiety - the racing thoughts, the sleepless nights, and the constant “what ifs.” I’ve felt the crushing exhaustion of burnout and carried the weight of complex trauma. But I’ve also discovered that healing, while not always linear, is absolutely possible.
As a second-generation Asian immigrant, I bring a nuanced understanding of cultural and religious issues, including identity struggles and family expectations. Whatever your background, you’ll find a non-judgmental, supportive space where you can bring your whole self - your fears, hopes, and everything in between.
Practice description
Expect more than just a listening ear in our sessions. Anticipate insight, compassion, empathy and gentle nudges outside your comfort zone.
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I can draw on a variety of approaches depending on your specific needs and preferences. This can range from exploring the impact of your past on the present day (psychodynamic therapy) to imparting practical strategies (for example from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT - or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy - DBT - or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - ACT) or using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.
Working with me means having someone walk alongside you - not leading, not following, but journeying with you. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to grow, even if it means stepping outside your comfort zone. Whether you’re grappling with crippling anxiety or looking to rebuild after burnout, I’m here to help you rediscover your strength and resilience.

I know it can feel daunting to reach out to a new therapist, so I offer a free 15 minute clarity call where we can have an initial chat. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming for counselling and figure out whether I am the right person for you.
