About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome.

Young people face many challenges in the modern world which can be hard to understand and navigate as an individual or as a family, and which may require additional support.

As a young person's therapist I am passionate and dedicated to supporting young people through these turbulent times.

I will work with you and your young person empathically and creatively, using arts and play- based techniques that have been individually tailored to support your young person. Helping to create space to explore their world, and support their self concept and emotional resilience. I believe collaboration is essential to working with young people, and work carefully and sensitively with young people and their families.

As a person-centered integrative practitioner, my work is based on a deep respect for people and I am committed to empowering people to explore their own understandings and make your own choices. I emphasis the importance of connection and relationship in all of my work.

I believe connection to the natural world is also fundamental to positive emotional health, and offer therapeutic work using the natural world. Along with my dedicated therapy space I also offer a small therapeutic garden to explore and support our work.

I have 20 years experience supporting with children and young people, as teacher and SENDCO, a lecturer at Exeter University, Child in Care advocate, working with schools, therapeutic fostering agencies, and CAMHS.

I am trained to Masters level in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents, and Families from Roehampton University, and I currently hold the role of therapist at Kingsbridge Community College, The Apricot Center, Dartington.

I hold the highest level of safeguarding training- L3 Designated Safeguarding Lead, and have an enhanced DBS.

I am currently welcoming private clients, so please contact me to see how we can work together.
