About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Lowri. I am a BACP Qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Taking the first steps in counselling can sometimes feel like a daunting experience. I offer a warm, empathic space to openly explore any challenges you might be facing.
For the past ten years, I have worked in various supporting roles, helping adults and young people with their emotional well-being. I have a huge amount of experience working with a range of different challenges.
Fundamentally, I believe that you are the expert of your life, I am not here to tell you what to do but to work alongside you and help guide and support you along your journey.
Whilst I have experience in many areas of concern, my areas of speciality focus on anxiety and depression, relationship issues (including, family, friend and partner difficulties), low - confidence, identity, and purpose.
Practice description
I am trained in many different approaches, as I recognise that each person may need something different from therapy (Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existentialism, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Drawing on several approaches allows us to use a range of different methods to help with the many facets of your life.
My first session
If you are considering working with me, the first step is to make an initial enquiry, where we can schedule a free initial call to explore whether I am the right counsellor for you. I am always open to answer any questions you may have about the process, or about me as a therapist.
If after the phone call, you feel comfortable working with me, we can book an initial session and go from there.
In your first session, it’s an opportunity to talk through any anxieties you might have about counselling, we can explore what you might like to gain, and how we might work together to achieve your goals.
