About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Olivia, a trauma-informed integrative therapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Life’s challenges can sometimes feel too big to manage alone, and seeking therapy is a brave step towards finding relief and understanding. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly about your feelings, struggles, or any difficulties you’re experiencing. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or just feeling overwhelmed by life, I’m here to help you.
I believe we each have an innate sense of what is best for us, but our past conditioning and the demands of modern life can sometimes disconnect us from our inner wisdom. My approach is rooted in collaboration, as we work at your pace to explore whatever you wish to bring. I will inquire - and, at times, gently challenge - from a place of genuine empathy and care, and together we can work to make sense of your experience.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I blend humanistic, psychodynamic, somatic, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I believe everyone is unique and tailor my work accordingly.
My specialty is working with relational or developmental trauma and this is informed by a knowledge of attachment theory and neurobiology.
I offer therapy sessions face-to-face or online via Zoom, and I’m open to discussing hybrid ways of working to fit your needs. I currently only work with individuals but will be expanding my practice to couples in Spring 2025.
My first session
Choosing a therapist can be daunting, and it’s important to see if we’re a good fit. I offer a free 20-minute online consultation to allow you to ask any questions you might have and to make sure I’m the right person for you.
If we choose to work together we will then arrange an initial session.
In our first session we might cover:
- What brings you to therapy
- Your hopes or goals
- Your personal history
- Our working agreement
Together, we can then come up with a treatment plan.
