About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified integrative-trained counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), which ensures that I adhere to the highest standards of ethical practice and professional development. I have worked with a diverse clientele, addressing issues such as anxiety, bereavement, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and more, and this experience has deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of a personalised client-centred approach to therapy.
With a deep commitment to supporting mental well-being, I specialise in providing empathetic, person-centred counselling to individuals navigating a wide range of mental health challenges.
Practice description
As an integrative trained counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor my work to the unique needs of each client. However, my core focus is on the Person-Centred approach, which informs the foundation of my practice. This approach, rooted in the humanistic tradition, emphasises the inherent worth of every individual and the belief that we have the capacity for growth, autonomy, and self-governance
In the therapeutic space, I strive to create an environment of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness, and by fostering a safe and non-judgemental atmosphere, I aim to empower clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly, facilitating a journey toward self-discovery, healing, and personal development.
My first session
I understand that seeking counselling can be a significant step, and I am committed to walking alongside you on this journey with compassion, respect and empathy. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or looking for support in navigating life's challenges, my goal is to help you find clarity, resilience, autonomy, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Counselling can be a personal and unique experience, and you need to be comfortable with your counsellor for the right conditions to exist and the therapeutic journey to take place
I offer a free 20-minute consultation via telephone to answer any questions you may have and for you to decide if you're happy for us to work together.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how we can work together, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to the possibility of supporting you on your path to personal growth. Feel free to contact me to schedule an initial consultation or to ask any questions you may have
