About me and my therapy practice

I am a highly qualified Integrative Psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. My work is grounded in relational, phenomenological and psychodynamic training, and is continuously informed by developments in research. This framework allows me to carefully meet each client’s needs, including all dimensions of the process – mind, emotions, body and spirit. My approach is warm, compassionate and open-minded. I meet every client with genuine care and interest to bring a renewed sense of meaning, connection and belonging. I provide a space for you to be heard, to share where you are, what has happened to you and what you want to achieve. My work is informed by the understanding that fundamentally we seek to know ourselves, to attune to our relationships, and to make sense of our story. My aim is for sessions to be thought-provoking, to offer my client a deeper insight into their inner world, relationships, past experiences and emotional challenges.

Practice description

Like all BACP practitioners I work with a wide range of presentations including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, OCD, fertility, self-esteem issues, infidelity, sexuality and relationship difficulties. I believe that therapy allows us to address emotional challenges, behavioural patterns and past experiences that affect our daily life.

My training includes Integrative, Psychodynamic, Relational, Existential phenomenology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Inner Child Model, Internal Family Systems, Psychosexual and Trauma therapy. My work is continuously informed by developments in research and techniques. I work intuitively to attune to the intricacies and nuances conveyed within each session, to offer reflections and considerations for my clients.

I honour my work and believe that the therapeutic relationship is of central importance to outcome of the treatment. My approach is warm, connected, supportive, open-minded and nourishing. Weekly sessions provide a sense of safety and stability, creating a space for clients to share, remember and endure. I believe that it is important to learn about a client’s story, and from there, to gain a clearer understanding of their needs and anxieties.

The therapeutic process can help us identify and understand what is happening in your inner world, in relation to your background, upbringing, development and relationships. My aim is for sessions to be thought-provoking, to enable the client to challenge their own perceptions, and to confront their joys and pains. These insights provide a foundation for a stronger sense of self, more fulfilling relationships, and an expanded perspective on life. Whilst therapy can provide symptomatic relief, my hope is that it will also bring deeper awareness and sustainable progress for my clients.
