About me and my therapy practice

HI I’m Angela. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk freely and confidentially about your life without judgement. Our sessions will be a conversation between the two of us, focussing on the issues that are important to you, exploring where you are at and what changes are you hoping for. My holistic approach includes working with the mind, heart, body and spirit.

I am a qualified therapist with a Diploma in Integrative and Transpersonal Counselling from ReVision Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy in West London, and am guided by the BACP Ethical Framework.

This might be a transitional time in your life and you need support with that. Perhaps there are old memories you want to explore or maybe you want to work with what is happening for you right now. Whatever brings you to therapy is where we begin. It can sometimes be painful challenging work and we can do that together. It can also be immensely rewarding and life changing.

I have many years of experience in the arts as a performer, writer, director and creative facilitator. I also worked for the NHS and Justice system. The themes I explored through this varied work included Anger, Family Secrets, Sexual Abuse, Addiction, Co-Dependancy, Self Esteem, Menopause, Relationships, Intergenerational Trauma and Bereavement. These experiences inform my approach to therapy, I believe creative thinking can help when we get stuck in life, when we are finding it hard to change old patterns, when we need new blueprints for our lives.

I sometimes work with images, visualisations, breathing exercises or body symptoms if that suits you. Most importantly we will work at the pace and in the way that works best for you.

My own experience of therapy was transformative. And I believe it is a gift we can give ourselves to become the person we want to be, to make better choices, and re/connect us with hope, humour, passion and possibilities.

Practice description

It can be daunting starting therapy and finding the right person to work with is important. I offer an initial free 15 minute online session so that we can meet, you can say what brings you to therapy now and what you are hoping for, and also have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. And if you are happy to go ahead we can arrange our first session. Alternatively just book an initial full session with me and experience how we might work together.

I enjoy working with a wide range of people. My clients include people from diverse cultures, genders, sexualities, religions and faiths. I have experience of working with neurodiverse people including those with ADHD, dyslexia and OCD. I am an LGBTQAI+ affirmative therapist and welcome non-binary and trans clients.

I see people In-Person in Holloway and Shoreditch, please contact me for availability. I also offer Online Therapy.
