About me and my therapy practice
Are relationship worries keeping you awake at night? Perhaps you're confused about how things got to this point when you've been doing your best. You know things need to change but you're unsure about how to communicate and make it happen.
Increasing your happiness with a relationship doesn’t have to be hard. It’s just an hour of counselling a week where we meet either face-to-face or online, to fit in with your commitments, and at a time of day that best suits you.
How can therapy help?
Therapy can transform your relationships with those you love by:
- Talking through your issues without fear of judgement – so that you can consider your choices and new ways of communicating
- Increasing your self-awareness and confidence – so that you are more attuned to your own emotional responses and how you are responding
- Helping you to define what feels comfortable and acceptable for you – so that you feel secure, valued, and build trust.
About Me
I started my private practice because I saw many adults struggling with relationship worries and anxiety when nothing was changing, leaving them feeling exhausted, discontent and without hope for the future. It is possible to develop happy, balanced and fulfilling relationships with the right support in place.
I've spent over ten years helping people navigate relationship challenges through group facilitation, peer coaching, and counselling. I understand the profound impact these difficulties can have, leading to feelings of anxiety, exhaustion, and despair.
Through my work with families, I've developed a deep understanding of the emotional and practical demands of caring for a loved one with a mental health condition or eating disorder. My personal life with its own challenges of separation, divorce and caring responsibilities, led me to seek therapy and through self-exploration, with an empathic therapist and without fear of judgement, I found my own answers to my unique challenges.
Practice description
In my counselling career, I have provided a supportive and affirming space for clients aged eighteen to eighty. I have worked with individuals from many cultural backgrounds, helping them find their own answers to relationship challenges. This process has enabled them to transform their relationships, and I would love to help you do the same.
I’m a fully qualified and registered counsellor with BACP.
Previous clients have told me that therapy enabled them to know themselves at a deeper level and find solutions to developing and sustaining fulfilling, loving relationships. They were able to communicate more clearly, create more trust in their partnerships and feel more optimistic about the future.
