About me and my therapy practice
Hello!
I'm Dani, an LGBTQIA+ and AuDHD therapist. My pronouns are she/her.
I am a fully qualified neurodivergent-affirming and creative therapist, working in Brighton and Hove.
I specialise in neurodiversity. In particular, those who discovered their neurodiversity later in life. I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating this experience, and the impact it can have. I understand empaths, highly sensitive individuals, masking, unmasking, grieving for your inner child, as well as the struggles of autistic burnout and executive functioning.
I also work with the LGBTQIA+ community, and those hoping to explore their sexuality and gender identity.
Navigating a neurotypical world can be exhausting. Together, we can explore ways to make your environment work for you, so you can feel supported and able to flourish.
Your wellbeing and autonomy are my priority. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your experiences and the unique challenges that come with neurodiversity. I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.
I hope to to support you in understanding your unique experiences, exploring ways to embrace your identity, at your own pace.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in a humanistic framework, supporting your autonomy and individuality. You are the expert on your own experience, as no one else truly knows what it's like to be you.
The sessions are led by you, and I will support you in uncovering your strengths and developing the tools to support you in your life.
As a creative humanistic therapist, I incorporate the use of arts including clay, paint, sand tray and sensory toys and materials. You can engage with the arts at any point throughout the session. I also offer the use of neurodiversity worksheets, where we can explore your sensory profile, special interests, and create plans for autistic meltdowns and more.
I have my own private practice where I currently offer online and telephone therapy. Some elements of creative therapy can still be explored online, including the use of neurodiversity worksheets.
I offer face-to-face sessions at an established psychology practice in Brighton.
I provide short or long-term therapy, depending on your needs.

My first session
I offer a free 30-minute assessment consultation. This can be on the phone, or a video call. Whatever you are most comfortable with.
This is an opportunity for us to connect and explore your hopes and expectations for therapy. It is also an opportunity for me to understand your needs and current situation.
We can discuss any questions you might have, and explore how I can best support you.
There is no obligation to continue after our assessment consultation, so please feel free to reach out to me if you are interested in working together.
