About me and my therapy practice

With a background spanning over 25 years as a well established and highly respected Holistic Therapist and now a Therapeutic Counsellor, I have supported individuals dealing with a diverse range of issues, from common concerns like anxiety and relationship issues to more intricate and traumatic experiences.

Working with Kent Equine Facilitated Learning based in Horton Kirby, near Dartford, Kent, I offer Equine Assisted Therapy sessions (also known as Hippotherapy) providing time and space with myself and also the herd to explore your thoughts and feelings in a grounding, calming environment.

Also on hand is an Equine Learning Facilitator who will interact with you and the horses in this outdoor setting.

All sessions are client led. You are the expert of your life. My role is to hold a collaborative space for us to explore your world, your past, your present and your challenges in the aim to find resolutions and build resilience. Unlocking your inner peace and potential.

These sessions are suitable for adults and young people and can also be combined with other regular therapy sessions (in-person, online and walk & talk).

Kent Equine Facilitated Learning are a community interest company (CIC) who provide regular Equine Learning sessions to primarily to children and young people. This practice has the potential to assist with Anxiety, Confidence Building, Autism, Depression, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Relationship Disorders and much more.

Consultation Call

From receiving your enquiry, we will organise a free consultation call at a mutually convenient time. I allow 20 minutes for this call. This helps me learn a little about you and your reason for contacting me. For you, this gives you the opportunity to learn about how I work, ask questions and decide if you feel comfortable talking to me.

If we both agree to work together then during this call we can arrange your initial appointment.

Initial Session

At your first session we will discuss and agree a contract of working together. I will ask you questions about your life, your history and we will start to explore the issues or challenges you wish to work through. At the end of this session we will agree the regularity of sessions moving forward.

Ongoing Sessions

After the initial session we will then continue to work together to explore your world and the areas you wish to focus on. We will also discuss and agree when to review the counselling experience so that we can reflect on your progress and how you are finding the therapeutic relationship. This can also help to work towards completion and endings.
