About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative existential psychotherapist who offers a warm, collaborative space where you can explore yourself and your world in depth. A registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I bring both ethical integrity and a compassionate approach, drawing from existential, psychodynamic, and relational practices.

In our work together, I will help you to explore not only what life is like for you, but also how your unique background, relationships, and social environment influence how you relate to the world. I understand that experiences are shaped by a complex mix of personal history and larger social factors, such as culture, family dynamics, or societal expectations, and that these issues can play a significant role in shaping your identity and worldview.

Using a psychodynamic approach, I will help you explore how past experiences or traumas may affect you today, empowering you to trace and untangle the threads of your inner life. Working relationally, I view the therapeutic relationship as both a mirror that reflects how you relate to others and a safe space to explore these dynamics. Through this reflective process, we will examine not only your inner world but also how aspects of social identity—such as gender, sexuality, race, or class—affect the way you navigate life and relationships.

Practice description

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and are usually held at the same time and on the same day each week.

I have worked with a broad range of clients in both the NHS and voluntary sectors, gaining experience with diverse perspectives and developing a strong commitment to inclusive, socially aware practice. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling and a Graduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Practice. Currently, I am undertaking doctoral research focused on sexuality, expanding my understanding of diverse sexual practices and strengthening my dedication to being a kink-positive practitioner. My MA in Issues in Modern Culture sparked an interest in the intersection of existential philosophy, psychology, and social issues—a theme that continues to inform my approach to therapy today.
