About me and my therapy practice

My name is Cait and I am a Intergrative Counsellor & Therapist.

I understanding that therapy can be daunting and that choosing what type of therapist seems right for you can be confusing and overwhelming. As an intergrative therapist I bring together different modes of therapeutic working (ie: psychodynamic, person-centred, existential) to create something uniquely tailored to your own needs. As a relational therapist I believe that building a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance between us is key to making the work feel safe, comfortable and to help you reach your goals.

My belief is that we all are deserving of a safe space in which we are able to bring parts of ourselves which might be hard to discuss, feel hidden or shameful and be met with compassion and non-judgement. I provide a safe-space for you to feel seen. heard and supported, working collaboratively to support growth and healing.

Practice description

I aim to meet you where you are currently to support you in the process of brining clarity and self-acceptance into your life. My role is to help you develop a greater sense of autonomy over your life and to feel more in control of the choices you are able to make. This often involves me helping to disentangle the emotional knots which may be preventing you from living as you might wish to.

Together we may look into the past, present and future as well as considering both your mind and body, as I believe all inform one another.

My first session

I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone conversation to see if you think we would be a suitable fit and to discuss what you wish to get from coming into therapy.

In our first session we would spend some time assessing where you are currently in more detail and what you are hoping for in our working together. I also check in after the first month to see how you feel we are progressing.
