About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Jenny. I am a fully qualified and passionate counsellor and psychotherapist, working in a genuine, warm, and compassionate way.
I was a client before I was a counsellor and I know from experience that seeking support isn't always easy. It can be overwhelming and daunting. You may be apprehensive about opening up to a stranger, but building a trusting relationship is the most important thing. I hope to make the process as stress free as possible.
You may be here because you're facing a challenging time, and if that's the case, please know you're not alone. By the time we seek out a therapist, we've often already tried various ways to cope with our struggles or find support. It can be hard to talk to friends or family when we feel overwhelmed, stuck, or lost. That's where therapy can make a difference.
By creating a safe, confidential & welcoming space which is free of judgement and where there is no problem more or less worthy than another.
I have experience in working with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, cancer and other health related issues, relationship issues, domestic abuse and trauma. I am experienced in working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds from age 16 and upwards.
Practice description
My belief is that we are all so unique, shaped by our own very personal set of experiences and way of being in the world. I take an integrative approach to therapy, allowing me the flexibility to work in a way that is tailored to you. My foundation is rooted in person-centred therapy, a humanistic approach that emphasizes empathy, acceptance, and authenticity.
My commitment is to walk alongside you on your path to emotional well-being, offering empathy, understanding, and professional guidance.
My first session
I realise how daunting the idea of therapy can be, and I offer a free initial 20-30 minute call to chat through any worries. It also gives us the chance for me to learn a little about what you hope to gain from counselling and a chance for us to discuss how we might work together.
Most importantly, it allows you to see how comfortable you feel when talking to me, as I believe it’s so important that you feel at ease with your therapist to get the most out of the therapeutic work.
Finding the right therapist can be an essential first step in feeling better. My initial introductory assessment session allows you to decide whether I am the right fit for you and to ask any questions you may have.
Best of luck finding a therapist, Jenny.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified and registered therapist with the BACP, offering therapy in person from my office in Eccleston, St Helens as well as online and by telephone.
Life can often be unpredictable and challenging, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, confused, or isolated. Many of us have experienced a heightened sense of uncertainty and a loss of control over different aspects of our lives, intensifying these feelings.
As a qualified therapist, I want to reassure you that these emotions, though difficult, are a natural part of being human. You are not alone in feeling this way. Counselling may be able to offer you support with processing your feelings and emotions, a fresh perspective, or support you to make changes needed to get you to a better place.
Whatever brings you to consider therapy—whether it’s grief, challenging emotions, dilemmas, or inner conflict—I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings. Together, we can work towards making sense of your experience and finding a path forward that brings you greater peace and clarity.
