About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Megan, and I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor offering online counselling sessions.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from various approaches to tailor my work to each individual. I believe that no single method suits everyone, which is why I incorporate Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Transactional Analysis (TA) in my practice.

I have experience supporting both adults and teenagers from diverse backgrounds, I have provided counselling both in person and online, adapting my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

I understand that starting counselling can feel overwhelming and at times a bit daunting! I offer a non-judgmental, empathic and supportive space where you can share at your own pace. This is your space and you can use it to discuss whatever you need. Together, we will explore your own experiences and work towards finding a path that feels right for you.

Practice description

I currently offer online therapy sessions via the platform Whereby or over the phone, depending on what works best for you. This means that I am able to provide a flexible and convenient way to access support from the comfort of your own home.

If you're considering counselling with me, please feel free to reach out by email, with a brief overview of the reasons you're seeking support. This will help me to understand your needs and ensure that I can offer the right type of help. Once we've made contact, we can arrange a time for an initial conversation. This will be a free introductory session around 15 minutes where it can give you the opportunity to ask any questions, get a feel for my approach and determine if you feel comfortable working with me.

My Qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) Criminology (First Class), Anglia Ruskin University
  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, CPCAB
  • Ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

My first session

The initial consultation is completely free, and if we both agree that it's a good fit, we can schedule a regular session that suits your availability. I recommend booking a session for the same date and time every week.

I offer a confidential and support space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without any judgment. In our first session, we will go over the principles of confidentiality to ensure that you feel safe and secure in sharing.

I look forward to working with you.
